Our commitment

With Light Pty Ltd (ABN: 99 680 530 936) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information in connection with the SupportSwipe mobile application.

About us

With Light Pty Ltd, based in Sydney, NSW, Australia, operates the App as a two-sided marketplace connecting disability support workers with provider organisations. What we collect — support worker information

Full name and email address (account management, authentication). Display name, profile photo (optional), rate, skills and credentials (self-reported), experience level, availability, and suburb (shown to Provider Organisations). Approximate location via device GPS for nearby matching. NDIS Worker Screening status (self-reported).

What we collect — provider organisation information

Organisation name, contact name, email address (authentication, notifications). Profile photo or logo (optional). Suburb and approximate location for nearby matching. Listing details including role, rate, requirements, and description. NDIS registration status (self-reported).

What we collect — app activity

Swipe activity — right/left on listings and profiles (matching algorithm). Match events (core app functionality). In-app chat messages (communication between matched parties). Ratings of Provider Organisations — displayed on provider profiles in anonymised form.

What we collect — usage and system

Device type, OS version, and app version (debugging). AdMob device identifier and app interaction data (non-personalised advertising). Push notification token (notification delivery).

How we collect

We collect information directly from users during registration, profile setup, listing creation, swiping, messaging, and rating. Automatically from devices including GPS for nearby matching, push notification tokens, and device metadata. Automatically via Google AdMob for advertising. From in-app interactions including swipe activity, match events, and chat messages. If you register or sign in with Apple, Google, or Facebook, we also receive from that provider your verified email address, full name (where provided), profile photo URL, and an opaque provider-specific identifier — never your password for that service, and never used for advertising.

Data storage (sovereignty)

All user data, profile information, chat messages, and app activity data are stored exclusively within Australia, in the ap-southeast-2 (Sydney) region hosted by Supabase Inc. This includes the Postgres database, authentication, and file storage. The supportswipe.com.au website is served via Vercel; no user profile, chat, or activity data is stored outside the Sydney region.

How we use your information

Support Worker information is used to create and display worker profiles, match workers with nearby listings, and enable worker-initiated chat. Provider information is used to create and display provider profiles and listings, match listings with nearby workers, and enable provider-initiated chat. App activity powers the swipe-matching algorithm, enables in-app chat, and displays ratings. Usage data is used for debugging, push notification delivery, and displaying non-personalised ads. We may use de-identified or aggregated data for product improvement. We will not use personal information for direct marketing without separate consent.

Who we share with

Profile information (display name, photo, rate, skills, experience, suburb) is visible to other users as part of the matching experience. Chat messages are visible only to the two matched parties. Ratings are displayed on provider profiles in anonymised form. We disclose data to third parties only as necessary: Supabase Inc. (database, auth, storage — US-incorporated, data in Sydney); Google LLC / AdMob (device identifier, app interaction data for non-personalised advertising); Apple Inc. (push notification delivery on iOS). We do not disclose personal information to data brokers or unrelated third parties.

Advertising (AdMob)

SupportSwipe is free and ad-supported. We display advertisements via Google AdMob configured for non-personalised ads. AdMob does not use personal information to target ads based on your behaviour or interests. AdMob does not use your precise location for ad targeting. Device-level identifiers may be used for ad serving and frequency capping, but not for interest-based targeting. Google's use of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Data quality

We take reasonable steps to ensure personal information we hold is accurate and up-to-date. Users are primarily responsible for the accuracy of their own profile information and can update their profiles at any time within the App. Important: qualifications, certifications, NDIS Worker Screening status, and other credentials are self-reported by users. SupportSwipe does not verify these credentials.

Data security

We implement: JWT-based authentication using Supabase Auth with secure password hashing; TLS 1.2 or higher for all data in transit; encryption at rest via Supabase infrastructure; Row-Level Security at the database layer; and API access requiring valid authentication tokens. While we implement industry-standard security measures, no security system is impenetrable. The App is not end-to-end encrypted.

Data retention and deletion

User account and profile data is retained until account deletion. Chat messages are retained until deletion by either party, or 12 months after last activity. Swipe activity and match history retained until account deletion. Ratings are retained in anonymised form after account deletion. Users may delete their account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the App. Upon deletion, your profile, chat messages, swipe history, and match records are permanently removed. Some information may be retained in backups for up to 30 days.

Your rights — access and correction

You may access and update your own profile information, chat history, and match history via the App at any time. To request access to personal information held about you, contact privacy@supportswipe.com.au — we will respond within 30 days. You may request correction of inaccurate information via the App or by email. We do not charge a fee for receiving an access request.

Privacy complaints

If you have a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@supportswipe.com.au. Please include your name, contact details, and a description of the concern. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If unsatisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.

Notifiable data breaches

We comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988. If an eligible data breach occurs — one likely to result in serious harm — we will contain the breach, assess its scope, notify affected users and the OAIC as required, and provide information and recommended steps to minimise potential harm.

Children's privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under 18. Users must be at least 18 to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days written notice of material changes via email to registered users. The updated Policy will be published at supportswipe.com.au/privacy. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
